We have been overwhelmed by friends and family who have offered to help in any way possible. In this sort of situation it is often difficult to know what to do to help and equally for us, what to ask for.
During one of our many FaceTime chats, my sister Jane came up with the idea of asking for help with funding the wig for Millie as losing her hair is the most difficult thing emotionally that she has had to cope with to date. Although she is dealing with it amazingly, we want to do everything we can to help her to get through the chemotherapy as positively as possible.
Hence the wig being made by the wonderful ladies at Shepperton Wigs from a combination of her own hair and top quality Russian hair (I am assured this is the best on the market?!).
Jane is still trying to think of a Madagascar/Russian themed name for the new wig! I can’t wait to see how it turns out – it should be with us after 24th January…
For those who have helped so far with a donation – many, many thanks. This is going to make a HUGE difference to Millie.
For anyone that would still like to help, drop me an email and I’ll let you know how: elinor.abramson@gmail.com.
I will post a picture of course as soon as wiggy arrives. (Any name suggestions also welcome!)
Alex and Oscar suggest ‘Fig the Wig’.
